Hi Spotify Developer Community,

I’m facing a significant data limitation when trying to analyze podcast episode performance comprehensively. There’s a frustrating gap between what’s available through different Spotify data sources:

Current Situation:

•Spotify Web API: Provides episode metadata including descriptions, but lacks play count data

•Spotify for Creators CSV exports: Include play counts and analytics data, but exclude episode descriptions and other metadata

The Problem:

For meaningful podcast analytics and content optimization, I need both play count metrics AND episode metadata (especially descriptions) in the same dataset. Currently, there’s no straightforward way to get complete episode data that includes both performance metrics and content metadata.

Could you include episode descriptions in the CSV exports?
