topic Android AppRemote allowed in commercial apps? in Spotify for Developers

Plan

Premium

My Question or Issue

As an independend software developer, I am working on a music player / music organizer app. It is not finished yet, but I intend to sell the app on Google Play Store (and maybe iOS as well at some point), so it is going to be a commercial app. Beta users of the app have asked if I could add Spotify integration.

Now my question is this: If my app uses the SpotifyAppRemote API to control playback, would this make my app a "Streaming SDA"? Technically, it would not be my app that performs any streaming. My app would only instruct the original Spotify background app instance on Android to play music. Or in case of the WebAPI (NOT WebPlaybackSDK), it would instruct other Spotify devices to play music and control their behavior, but my app would not perform any streaming itself.

I would really like to add Spotify integration for Spotify Premium users. But it is not clear to me if this is allowed or not in a commercial app.

I hope that someone can shed some light in that direction.
