App Disabled: My Data Extractor - ID: e5eeb0e51e984a86b662478a71f4be88

Dear Spotify Developer Support Team,

I am writing with deep regret regarding my application "My Data Extractor" (Client ID: e5eeb0e51e984a86b662478a71f4be88) which has been disabled and blocked. I want to sincerely apologize for any violation of your Terms of Service.

First and foremost, I fully accept responsibility for my actions. I understand that I have overstepped the boundaries of acceptable API usage, and I am truly sorry for any inconvenience or disruption this may have caused to your services.

I want to clarify the nature of my application: this is purely a personal pet-project that I developed out of passion for music and technology. It was never intended for commercial use, has never generated any revenue, and was only used by myself and a few close friends for educational purposes.

However, I recognize that my enthusiasm got the better of me. In my eagerness to develop and test features, I clearly exceeded reasonable API limits without implementing proper rate limiting or caching mechanisms. What started as a small learning project "got out of hand" due to my technical oversight, not malicious intent.

I have learned a valuable lesson from this experience about responsible API usage. I understand now that access to the Spotify API is a privilege, not a right, and I failed to respect that privilege.

My commitments moving forward:

1. Immediate compliance: I have already stopped all API requests from my application

2. Architectural improvements: If given another chance, I will implement:

- Aggressive caching with minimum 24-hour TTL

- Strict rate limiting (max 100 requests/hour)

- Exponential backoff for all API calls

- Comprehensive request logging and monitoring

3. Educational approach: I will thoroughly study the complete Terms of Service and API guidelines before making any further requests

4. Transparent development: I will keep my application's scope strictly within personal/educational boundaries

I understand if my request cannot be granted due to policy violations. However, if there is any possibility of having my developer privileges reinstated, even with strict limitations or probationary status, I would be deeply grateful for a second chance.

This project represents months of personal passion and learning, and losing access to the Spotify API would be a significant personal disappointment. I promise that if given another opportunity, you will never hear anything negative about my application again. I will become a model of responsible API usage.

I agree with your disappointment. I'm a Premium user, and my App Status is Disabled and Blocked. I've never shared my Client ID with anyone. I've never generated significant traffic. My only fault is that I called the SpotDL app because I was following a tutorial. Is there a procedure to request it to be unblocked?
