Song request platform

I am planning to build a platform where guests on a party easily can drop song requests at the DJ

Now, i am aware of the use of spotify by DJ's so I'm planning to just use the search API to be up to date all the time and send the request to the DJ as plain text. I am not planning to send the spotify link with it offcourse.

Is anyone aware if I can use the Spotify search api for this? Just to let guests search for artist and/or songs and generate a short list with tracks that match the description. Again, the DJ will not get a spotify link or what so ever. Just a platform where he can see the requests on that venue.
