Spotify Auth library 5.0.0 not working with https

My Question or Issue

I cannot use the android auth library (spotify/android-auth) in version 5.0.0.
I migrated the placeholder to AndroidManifest but the app keeps crashing at startup: No intent-filter found for RedirectUriReceiverActivity matching redirect URI

when I change the scheme from https to my android package the app starts normally and the RedirectUriReceiverActivity is found (but of course the auth fails). As soon as I change back to https, it's crashing at startup. Worked before the update.

Anyone upgraded successfully?

When I debug com.spotify.sdk.android.auth.AuthorizationClient.Companion#checkRedirectUriConfiguration the call

pm.queryIntentActivities(intent, PackageManager.GET_RESOLVED_FILTER)

returns only

"ResolveInfo{415bef0 com.vivaldi.browser/com.google.android.apps.chrome.IntentDispatcher m=0x208000 userHandle=UserHandle{0}}"

"ResolveInfo{b0f9c69 com.android.chrome/com.google.android.apps.chrome.IntentDispatcher m=0x208000 userHandle=UserHandle{0}}"

instead of

com.spotify.sdk.android.auth.browser.RedirectUriReceiverActivity

I have enabled

<intent-filter android:autoVerify="true">

ok I've learned something... when the app is deployed via wifi (from android studio) this intent-filter fails. if deployed via USB it's successful
