Set Volume - What Devices?

Out of all the Device Types, which ones can the volume be set for, via the Web API?

I know for example that the volume can be set for "Computer" and can not be set for "Smartphone". Is there a known list of Devices (out of the full list below) that the volume can be set for?

If there are any device types for which volume cannot be set, I would be interested to know this as well. Where do you get that volume cannot be set for "Smartphone"? If you could link to any official statement on that that would be helpful.

I don't have any official documentation, however I do know that when I am connected to my smartphone and I try to set the volume using the API, it does not work
