Error while adding tracks to collaborative playlist

Hello Team,

I am integrating Spotify APIs into one of the Mobile Applications. As per our functionality we have to let other people add tracks in our playlist. For that we have created collaborative playlist using your API. But the issue is if other users are trying to add tracks by themselves using your API then it gives below error:

"message": "You cannot add tracks to a playlist you don't own."

API Used for adding tracks:

https://api.spotify.com/v1/playlists/{playlist_id}/tracks

Hi @Riddhi_k, welcome to the forum.

At the moment, the Web API can only be used to add tracks to a playlist that you own. You can learn more about playlists and the API here: https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/general/guides/working-with-playlists/

Ok understand. Can you say that when this functionality will be available for for the Web API so that we can achieve the requirement by using APIs.

Never. Because if that happens everyone is going to add his track on the top of collaborative playlists with 1 click.
