topic Include Playlist metadata in api response / new endpoint in Spotify for Developers

Hello,

I would like to propose the idea of including all/more relevant metadata about a playlist in the endpoint available to us developers. I think a lot of apps/creators would benefit from more extensive data, that is already there but not available to us (i.e. "format", "formatAttributes" especially "isAlgotorial"). This could improve working with playlists, because we would know with what type of playlist we are working and what characteristics this type has.

This data is already there and available under "https://spclient.wg.spotify.com/playlist/v2/playlist/{playlist_id}/metadata" , but unfortunately only with a user token provided by spotify.

I would appreciate if you would think about including this data in normal playlist API responses or opening up the existing endpoint for user tokens provided for apps.

Hope to hear from you soon 🙂
