Unfortunately, we are not able to provide individualised legal advice about our terms and policies. We recommend you review our Developer Policy and potential IP issues with your university legal and communications teams.

We are a group of students who wrote an academic paper for a project in our bachelor's degree program. It uses data from the Spotify Web API to attempt to classify songs into musical genres based on audio features.

The dataset is only comprised of data about tracks, artists and features. It does not contain any user data. The dataset and finished paper can be found on GitHub.
https://github.com/luispflamminger/spotify-genre-prediction
We have some questions concerning the developer policy.

1. Is the university allowed to publish this paper?
2. Are we allowed to publish this data and our findings in other ways under the MIT or GNU GPLv3 license?
