https://community.spotify.com/t5/Spotify-for-Developers/iOS-SDK-SPTAppRemotePlayerAPI-play-regression/m-p/5398699#M4931 <P>I believe that there has been a regression in the way that the <A href="https://spotify.github.io/ios-sdk/html/Protocols/SPTAppRemotePlayerAPI.html#//api/name/play:callback:" target="_self"><FONT face="courier new,courier">SPTAppRemotePlayerAPI.play</FONT></A> method is handled.&nbsp;</P><P>Previously it behaved just like the Web API <A href="https://developer.spotify.com/documentation/web-api/reference/#/operations/start-a-users-playback" target="_self">variant</A>, in that invoking it would clear the queue in addition to playing the requested track.</P><P>As of about mid March the queue is not cleared anymore.</P><P>The only workaround that I’ve found so far, is to invoke the <FONT face="courier new,courier"><A href="https://spotify.github.io/ios-sdk/html/Protocols/SPTAppRemotePlayerAPI.html#//api/name/skipToNext:" target="_self">SPTAppRemotePlayerAPI.skipToNext</A></FONT> method until it returns an error, which indicates that there is nothing to skip to, as the queue is empty.
