Discrepancy between recently played on Spotify App and API

Included here are screenshots for Recently Played as provided by Spotify App and the API endpoint that provides the same data with limit set to 50. You can see that on the same date, the app has more songs. Why is this the case? Shouldn't all access points show the same data?

Because Spotify uses private APIs which are far better and we're stuck with half-assed endpoints 😄
