Trying to gift premium subscription

I have been trying to gift a premium subscription to my father in law for weeks and the system keeps denying me. I have had numerous chats where they tell me to wait a few days to a week and try again. Credit cards won't go through. Then they downgraded my premium for family as they told me there were attempts to purchase new subscriptions and they can't do that. I just want to buy a gift and they have made it impossible. Anyone else had an issue with this?

Hey @alilosangeles

Thats weird that your premium is being affected by trying to gift premium. When it comes to the duration of the charge it usually takes about 48 hours for the charge to go through, but that depends on the bank. If you are having difficulties with gifting premium, you could do the 2nd option which is to go to a store and buy a gift card there. Target, Walmart, 7 Eleven sell Spotify Gift Cards.
