spotify isn’t letting me play anything unless i get a premium acc.

I recently started a new account, and i added some playlists. the problem is that i absolutely cannot play anything as it says that i need a premium subscription to play stuff. this is extremely frustrating and i have never had anything like this happen to me before. can anyone help?

Welcome to the community!

Currently, if you have the Spotify free, ad-supported service, the playlists you create can be played in shuffle order. Tap SHUFFLE PLAY at the top of any playlist, album, artist profile, or Songs in Your Library to start listening to your music!

You've also got a few playlists created for you by Spotify that let you play songs in any order, and skip as much as you like. You can find these playlists in Home , in the Made for you section. Any playlist without the blue Shuffle icon is ready to pick and play!
