How do playlists work on freemium?

I have recently cancelled my subscription and was just wondering... the playlists that I follow, will any new songs that the creator adds sync and show up automatically?

In Spotify, if you follow a playlist and the creator changes one of its songs, you should notice it. Let me know if that was your question.
