Payment method and country dont match- but im only going to stay here for the next year!

Hi there,

I've recently relocated to Greece and will be here for at least 1 year. I want to upgrade to premium but because my debit cards are registered in UK, Spotify wont let me add them as my area is Greece.

Is there some way around this, its ridiculous. I dont want to go through the hassle of setting up a greek bank account or credit card, and spotify itself has recognised that my area has changed and im in greece.

Please help!

Welcome to the Spotify Community!

Unfortunately, when paying for a Premium subscription, the payment card’s country must match the country in your Spotify profile according to the security policy.

To use your UK card, you will need to contact Spotify here so they can resolve it for you.

If you get an automated reply email, you need to reply back to it.

Support usually replies within 24-48 hours.

Thanks for getting in touch!

As you'll only be able to use your UK card when youre in the UK, you'll have to look for a different payment method. We do accept pre-paid cards issued by Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. But make sure that the pre-paid card is issued in Greece.
