Changing device from iOS to Android- what happens with subscribtion?

My Question or Issue

I had an iPhone and got spotify premium account. Now I am changing to Android and wonder how the payment for premium plan will go? Through apple account ot google account? The worse thing that can happen I will be charged twice or disconnected???

Welcome to the community!

If you currently pay for Premium directly through the Spotify website, there will be no change, and your Premium subscription will continue functioning as usual when you change to your Android device.

If you currently pay for Premium with Apple’s in-app payment system, I would highly recommend switching to subscribe directly through Spotify, as it is €3 cheaper per month. Here's how to change your subscription from Apple, to directly through Spotify:

Cancel the automatic renewal of your Spotify payment with Apple.
Wait for your current subscription to expire.
When your Spotify account reverts to free, you can resubscribe directly with Spotify.

Tip: If you’ve never subscribed directly with Spotify before, you might be eligible for a trial offer.

Thank you for your reply, I really appreciate it!

Will try to do as described but not sure about the price, atm I am paying
10 Eur, so it will be 7 Eur if Ill pay directly through the Spotify
website, is that correct?

Hey @Dima112,

It sounds like you might already be subscribed directly through the Spotify website, as subscribing through the Spotify website costs €9.99/month, compared to paying for Spotify through Apple, which costs around €12.99/month.

Can you check who manages your payments by logging in to your account page, and selecting Subscription in the menu on the left?

I am not sure as it just says spotify premium for 9.99 Eur and next
payment will be on xxx date and payment method details, thats it....

In this case, it sounds like you're already subscribed directly through Spotify. No further action is required, other than downloading Spotify from the Google Play store to your new Android device. There will be no change to your subscription, and your Premium subscription will continue functioning as usual when you change to your Android device.
