My Question or Issue

Hello,

I had a student account and I got an 60 € gift-card. I activated the card to prevent it from decaying. Result is, that I'm having a 6 Month premium account instead of my Student account. Which causes a loss of 30 €. And after the 6 Month, I'm probably no student anymore and need to pay for premium to get the same conditions.

I feel tricked by spotify!
Furthermore, it states 60 € gift-card and not 6 month gift-card. This are very missleading information. I'm super angry!

Is there a way to undo the gift-card activation?

Thanks for reaching out.

Gift Cards are not redeemable in conjunction with other discounts or promotions, such as Premium for Family, Premium for Students, or trial offers. This is stated here and maybe even on the Gift Card, but I'm not too sure about that.

It's unfortunately not possible to undo the Gift Card redemption.
