Removing myself from Family Plan

I would like to move to a different family plan.

Country

Australia.

Device

iPhone X.

My Question or Issue

I am trying to remove myself from a family plan but am not admin. I have gone through the steps provided, once successful it gives me a date but when that date comes around I’m still on the plan. Is there another way to remove yourself without admin?
