Spotify Gift Card not working

I had purchased a $10 Spotify gift-card at my local Target. When I got home to use the pin or code I was told it was invalid. I was confused considering the reciept said the code was activated, it was purchased in the same country as my account, and I put in the code correctly. I even tried other possiblities for the code but nothing seemed to be working. I can't return the code either. I'm stumped.

Gift cards are not working. This has been happening for weeks, and has been reported by multiple users.

If you contact Spotify through Twitter, you'll get "suggestions," but no solutions. There is no solution. Spotify has not even acknowledged that this is a problem.
