I decided to purchase a $30 premium subscription gift card yesterday..it shows activated by the retailer..when I enter the pin code it tells me it's invalid..i found the process to troubleshoot the issue very difficult and I already know the card cannot be returned so if I'm out this $30 card with no luck what would possibly motivate me to purchase again. I followed the procedure as explained to redeem gift card.

Could you confirm you've already tried all the steps in this support article, specifically the ones under the heading Gift card not working?

If that doesn't work, could you let us know which retailer you bought the gift card from? We'll look into it.

If the account type is Premium with Hulu, the gift card will not work.

Gift cards cannot be used for Spotify Premium with Hulu.

Look at the account overview, and see what type of account it is. Is it Spotify Premium, Spotify Free, Spotify Premium with Hulu, or something else?

Even if you have not activated the Hulu service, if your account type is Premium with Hulu, then gift cards cannot be redeemed.

Spotify is not acknowledging this problem.
