Hi there, I'm currently subscribed to Premium Duo and I've received a gift voucher which I'd like to use against my Duo account. It says it can only be used for Premium individual accounts, can you let me know how I can use this?

Hey @JGT2020, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

That's correct that you can use gift cards only towards a Premium Individual plan. You won't be able to use it towards a Premium Duo plan, or Family plan.

You can either share the gift card with someone or switch your plan to the Premium Individual plan in order to use the gift card. There's more information about Spotify gift cards here.

Well that seems like a daft system. If I downgrade my account to Premium Individual and use the voucher, will I be able to upgrade it back to Duo without losing either of our playlists etc?

Yes, your music collection remains intact regardless of any subscription changes that might happen with your account. This means that even with free you'll still keep your tunes and playlists.
