Im trying to buy my friend a 6 months subscription to Spotify, he lives in Portugal and my account is from UK, will that create a problem?

Unfortunately, yes. Spotify gift cards can only be redeemed on Spotify accounts registered in the same country where they were purchased. Other Terms and Conditions may apply.
