My friend is on Spotify Free in Canada. If I buy him a 99 CAD annual subscription gift card and he switches to Premium free trial, can he redeem it right before the end of trial? He's also moving to the US in 3 months. Would he be able to continue using the subscription if it's already been redeemed?

Hey @ly1lq-5ct_g1 ,

Your friend should be able to redeem the gift card whenever he wants as long as the card doesn't expire and he's in the country the gift card was issued for.

To change the country settings he should follow these settings shortly before his annual subscription runs out:

Visit the subscription page at this link.
Click update
Click ...
Then click Change Country and enter your payment method with a billing address.
Then click change payment details.
Now your country should have changed.

With a Premium account, you can travel anywhere and still receive the benefits of Spotify Premium, so there shouldn't be any problem.
