Paying for Premium but I'm getting ads

Hello. I just got an ad but I pay for Premium. I'm logged into my Premium account. I've been paying for Premium for years with no ads. If Spotify is now showing ads on Premium accounts, I'm out. Anyone know what's up?

Thanks for reaching out. Spotify Premium accounts offer ad-free listening, so let's try to figure out what might be going on here. Can you let me know what kind of ad you received, what were you listening to? Are you able to use other Premium features such as on-demand or offline listening?

This has been happening to me frequently as well. I've had premium for years and recently I've been getting ads randomly in the middle of listening. I just got a Toyota ad, which is what prompted me to search for an answer.

And for what it's worth, I mostly tend to get ads when listening to podcasts (and I don't mean the sponsored ad reads/ad breaks that podcasters sometimes include in their content. Spotify will actually stop playing and load a separate ad as if I was on a free account).
