Hey there @kgodi,

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

You won't be able to change Premium Duo/ Family plans more than once every 12 months, but as you're describing it, you're not really trying to change the plan.

Can you let us know if your mother can still see the Premium Duo status on her account page, or does it show that her account is on free?

If you were accidentally kicked out of the plan, you shouldn't receive this error message when you try to re-join the same plan.

As a workaround, if you're both on the free tier now, I'd suggest you start a Premium Duo subscription on your account and send an invitation to your mother, so she can join as a member, if all else fails.

Keep us posted on how you get on. We'll do our best to help.

Plan

Premium Duo

Country

South Africa

Device

Samsung Galaxy A2

Operating System

Android Oreo

My Question or Issue

My mother and I were using spotify duo without issue throughout 2022 but since the new year I have been unable to sign into the spotify duo. My mother has paid for it and sent a link as she always has but now when I try to sign in to the spotify duo i get this message:

"You can't join this plan

You can join someone else's premium plan only once every 12 months.

Still want to change plans? we'll help you find another premium plan that's right for you."

I have tried to:

- log out / log in (with the facebook button)

- force quit app, delete data/cache, log in

- remove app, reinstall app, log in

- log into the duo via an incognito tab

Nothing works and at this point im all out of ideas. Any help is very much appreciated.
