Gift a Premium Subscription to a distant friend

I want to give a gift of a Spotify premium subscription to a friend who lives in Sweden, (I am in the UK). I want to be the person paying her monthly subscription, is this possible?

A Spotify gift card would be the perfect solution for this particular scenario. Please note that the gift card needs to be obtained from the same country as the one registered in your friend's account.

Not a really suitable solution as my friend is mostly house bound and could not go to a store/shop to purchase a gift card. And I cannot go to Sweden to purchase a gift card !!!

We understand that there may be some limitations to the proposed solution. Maybe you can look for an online retailer and send the gift card as an email or gift an actual gift voucher which can be used to buy a Spotify gift card?

Thanks for the question!

If you don't have a payment method stored on your Spotify account, then once the Premium time ends on the gift card, the subscription will automatically revert to free. Payment details can be managed by following these steps.

If there is a payment method stored, then the account will be charged the regular rate for Premium after the Premium time is up on the gift card, until the plan gets cancelled. More information on gift cards can be found here.
