Spotify asking me to renew my subscription every time I open the app

Please stop this. Every time I open the app to change the playlist or song it redirects me to a page that asks to renew my subscription. I click cancel but it asks me every time anyway. It wasn’t like this before. It’s so annoying.

You can see the status of your plan on your Account page. If you don't want to renew your subscription, your account will revert to free. Once this happens - you should not get any of these prompts.

Spotify obviously knows this is the most annoying thing they could do and hence decided to add this feature. This sort of behaviour leaves a bad taste in my mouth and will avoid Spotify from now on.

This is not an answer, I wanted to cancel because of the new pricing, now it’s annoying me.
