"Payment method and country don't match" error

After cancelling my subscription for a bit, I tried to resubscribe with PayPal, as I've been paying with for the years I've had Spotify. But every time I do so on Google Chrome, I get a "payment method and country don't match" error on the Spotify site upon confirming the payment on PayPal. On Firefox, it simply remains loading endlessly after confirming the action on PayPal. My country settings on Spotify and PayPal match, and they always have, I've never once changed them. I'm not getting a credit card for this, is there a way to fix this?

The error you're seeing means that the payment method you're using is from a different country. I recommend reaching out to PayPal's support team so that they can take a look at your account's country setting.

I received this error trying to sign up as a new user with a credit card, I am in USA.
