Hi. I want to gift my son Spotify premium student for a year. Can this be done or will I have to set up a monthly direct debit??? We’re in the UK on ios.

Gift cards are not available for use on Student, Duo, or Family plans. They’re only available for use on Premium Individual plans. There is more information on gift cards here.

I'm having this issue as well, since around the same time as the original poster. My gift card has worked in all the previous times I've bought premium student. Has something changed with Spotify? Do pre-paid gift cards no longer work?

I was able to redeem a free trial last month using my regular debit card, and that seems to be the only method that works for me currently.
