Hi, I have an account and it works fine with my paypal, I wanted to open one for a friend and it won't let me pay with my paypal when my paypal is working and is paying my subscription

Thanks for reaching out here in the Community.

We'd first recommend giving it a try using a different device or an incognito window, as there shouldn't be any restriction to pay for two Spotify accounts with the same payment method. However, keep in mind that you won't be able to get a trial period with the same payment method as it has been used for another account already.

If that doesn't do the trick, could you confirm if you're seeing any error when you try to subscribe from your friend's account?
