I’m sure the $1147.13 from Louis Vitton was just a temporary charge, and the refills from various vendors in Euros were also just an oopsies. OR someone from @spotfify @spotifysupport can contact me immediately! There are far too many incidentals here. How does a hacker/social engineer know my account expiration date?! Someone is either in your system or someone sold user data. They full on spoofed y’all’s email address and website!

I’m attaching a screenshot of the actual email. I can forward it as well. I went directly to the app, couldn’t get into my account in app. So I went back to the email and used the link. Why? Because it shows my account is expiring on 9/10. So the email seemed legit at that point.

I just got an email saying my card was declined. I didn’t initially click on the link provided as I’m in cybersecurity. Instead I went to the website. Turns out my account literally is renewing, and my card just changed. I couldn’t access my account through your fing app, so I used the link. Kept trying to login to my account. Somehow my current payment method was actually listed with the expired card. AS SOON AS I entered my new card information, I was hit with 3 fraudulent charges. I also could not login to my account. You have someone in your system! I NEED TO BE CONTACTED IMMEDIATELY!

Plan

Free/Premium

Country

Device

(iPhone 8, Samsung Galaxy 9, Macbook Pro late 2016)

Operating System

(iOS 10, Android Oreo, Windows 10,etc.)

My Question or Issue

Hey @WellTrainedVC,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community.

The charges you’re seeing are likely temporary authorization charges, also known as pending charges. These are used to verify that your payment method is valid for future transactions. If that’s the case, the funds should be returned in the next few days. You can find more details here.

You can also check your order history here. If these charges aren’t listed but previous ones are, they’re definitely pending charges.

Lastly, if you’re having trouble logging into your account, try resetting your password or use an alternative login method like Google, Apple, or Facebook if you have those set up.

Let me know if you need any more help! 🙂

I'm pretty sure that Louis Vitton charge isn't from Spotify.

I recommend reaching out to Support so that they can have a closer look at your whole issue: https://www.spotify.com/about-us/contact/ 🙂

I’m not clicking in anymore links related to Spotify. I did reach out to their support on their website. This is where they sent me. To this dumb ass community where I’m not getting any support whatsoever.

I’ll just step on over to Twitter and raise **bleep** there until I get a response. Until I get a response from an actual employee just going to cancel my account.
