My Question or Issue

Why are rates increasing for Spotify premium? Can we get a detailed explanation of why? It doesn't look like any new features are being added or anything about the subscription is being improved, it will just cost more for the same product. There also was a recent price increase this past year.

I understand your concern. As Spotify continues to grow the platform, they are updating their Premium prices so that they can keep innovating in changing market conditions. These updates will help Spotify continue delivering value to fans like you. There is more information regarding price updates here.

There is also more information on the recent price update on the Spotify Newsroom. If you would like to cancel your subscription, you can do so at any time by following these steps. Please make sure to do so at least a day before your billing date as the charge may already be processing on your billing date.

Hey Bill-J... please take this note to your superiors. The price of my subscription in Canada has gone up 40% in less than 4 years, with exactly ZERO increase in functionality. I've stuck it out as I thought I'd wait for the long-promised 'Hi-res' version, but even that is nothing but a pipe-dream. So, uhm.... you've lost a subscriber due to this absolutely unforgivable price-gouging.
