My Question or Issue

I currently have basic duo and was considering changing to basic family so I can add my MIL. The information page says if I cancel my basic plan I will never be able to resubscribe. Will I be able to swap back to basic duo, or should I just get my MIL her own individual basic account?

Switching between different types of basic plans (e.g., Basic Duo to Basic Individual) isn’t currently possible. Downgrades are only available within the same plan type, like going from Premium Duo to Basic Duo or Premium Family to Basic Family. Also, upgrading from Free to Premium Basic isn’t an option.

To be eligible for a Basic Individual plan, the account must already be on a Premium Individual subscription started before June 20, 2024 (when the Basic plans launched in the U.S.).

If you’re looking for a more cost-effective solution, you might consider upgrading to a Premium Family plan for $19.99/month. This would cover up to six accounts and could be a more affordable option compared to paying for both Basic Duo ($14.99/month) and Premium Individual ($11.99/month) or Basic Individual ($10.99/month).

Just a quick reminder: all members of Duo or Family plans must reside at the same address.
