Hey there,

Thanks for reaching out!

When you go over the steps to activate your discount and then switch to Premium Student, your subscription type will change from your next billing date. When this happens, the only plan you'll have will be the Student plan, and you won't be charged for Individual after this. Spotify will only charge you for your currently active subscription plan.

Keep in mind that, once activated, your discount will be active for 12 months (4 years in total), after which you'll receive an email to renew it.
In case you miss this, your account will revert to Premium Individual but you'd still be able to renew your discount after this and re-subscribe to Student, as long as you're within that 4 year window.

Hope you'll find this info helpful! We're here for you should any further questions arise 🙂

Will I get charged for my individual plan if I just switched to a student plan? So like $11.99 + tax plus $5.99+ tax or will I just have to pay for the student one I just switched to?
