Looks like it’s been quite a few years since this was discussed and it’s high time for Spotify to review offering a discount to seniors, particularly with the cost of living crisis and especially in the U.K. where Spotify is in any case twice the cost of in the USA, (why is that btw?). As with all the other seniors’ previous comments, I would pay half price but not full price so Spotify is losing out on income stream by excluding us!

Like you, i am retired and use Spotify free but also hate ads etc, can't understand why Spotfiy support students and not retired people after all i think we have more disposable income than they do, and there missing a huge payable market by ignoring us seems a strange commercial decision not to look at this important demographic group who would increase direct sales through monthly subscriptions .

Yes, I agree - Spotify is missing out on my subscribing. $18 is way too high, but if they had a half price senior rate I would subscribe in a flash. Not good business sense.

I think it is a great idea I am on disability and only get 1.000 a month and it is hard to make it on that with prices as high as they are on food ,gas and bills it would be alot easier on me if I could get a discount

Younger people don't get it until their older realizing parents have a lot of Wizdom, "One can be Present But Not for the Messege"

In the long run $ will be made, having Seniors on Board and sharing their History of Great Sounds, and for me who's 75+ always thinking outside the box, and love also Mixing Old n New.

Hi, you offer a discount to students but you dont offer a discount to pensioners. Just for your knowledge pensioners like music as well as students and unless you havnt noticed but students have more money than pensioners. So Spotify stop being ageists

Students get a discount, so why not pensioners? Would be a USP for Spotify. Just got a 20%+ increase for Premium Duo which cannot be justified and is not really affordable for me anymore on a limited income (Pension). Come on Spotify do your stuff!

Further supporting the proposal for discounts to those who can register as a senior. Indeed with ever increasing costs of living combined with ever increasing charges for using spotify .... My wife & I love music and have been with spotify now for quite some years ...but with recent subscription increase & limited funds as seniors will have to stop using spotify .... Request to please consider discounts for seniors so we can continue to use your services

I stopped my subscription as I'm a pensioner and dissabilled I couldn't afford it anymore .

I see this thread has been going on for years without results. Spotify seems to be ignoring this demographic, and writing this post feels like a waste of my time and energy. But I agree, I would love to see a senior discount. We still like to listen to music.

I understand a new study from the World Health Organization (WHO) came out, stating that

Spotify's acknowledgment of our existence would extend our life expectancy by at least 3–5 years. (~humor~)

You are absolutely right. Why can't we have a discount and enjoy music. I've been with them for years but as a retiree for awhile now it's too much money. I hate ads with my songs but I'm probably going to cancel.
