In this case, it's possible the payment couldn't be taken by the system. To check this, we'd suggest checking on your wallet to see if the payment passed successfully.

If the payment didn't go through, it's a good idea to:

Ensure that there is a sufficient balance in their account.
Check the spend limit or transaction limit on your wallet and confirm that you have not used it up.
If you might have spent the transaction limit, you can return and try again the following day.
Try using an alternative payment method.

Give it a try, and let us know how it goes.

Hi! Spotify Philippines subscriber here. I am already a premium user and i want to update/change my payment method from my credit card to GCash. But there’s no GCash in the options. Also i can’t seem to find my premium account icon on my spotify app. Pls help thanks!

is there something i can do to disconnect it

Thanks for your reply.

We understand you'd like to unlink the payment method you're using in a Spotify subscription, correct? If yes, you can unlink the payment method by:

Cancelling your subscription. The payment method will be removed once the time you've paid for expires and your account is reverted to free.
Updating the payment method you're using to pay the subscription. In that case, you'll see the changes on your next billing date when the first payment is taken from the new payment method.

If perhaps what you meant was different, It'd be awesome if you could send us more details and we'll do our best to help.

I'm currently in a different country but I want to keep my country as the Philippines because Gcash is still my preferred payment method, but my Gcash keeps getting automatically and I'm worried if it keeps doing that, I won't be able to reconnect it again later on. Is there anything I can do to keep it from unlinking?

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community!

From what you've described, it sounds like your payment may not have gone through successfully. To check if it's the case, you can go to your Account page and take a look at your Order history. If our system can't process the payment on the billing date, it may keep trying for a short time before your account reverts to the free service. If the payment does go through successfully, your account will remain on Premium. If not, you'll need to re-subscribe. Keep in mind that the payment method must be issued in the country you're currently in.

However, since you mentioned you don't want to change your payment method, we'd suggest that you follow the steps @AlejaR mentioned here.

just signed up for the 3-month Xiaomi trial, but my GCash got unlinked the very next day and now my Premium is gone. Is there a glitch with the promo, or is the issue on GCash/Spotify's end? Would love some help getting this back.
