why can't I find premium annual plans?

Hello abinroz, Spotify offers an annual premium subscription plan, but it may not be available in all regions or for all users. Here's how you can check if the annual plan is available for you:

Log in to your Spotify account on the Spotify website or app.
Go to the "Subscription" section of your account settings.
If the annual plan is available in your region and for your account, you should see it as an option alongside the monthly plan.

If the annual plan is not available for you, it's possible that Spotify has not yet launched it in your region or that it's not available for your account type. In this case, you may need to continue with the monthly plan or consider alternative payment options such as purchasing a Spotify gift card. In my region (CA, US) I am seeing Amazon listings for annual gift cards but the website does not off me an option for annual payments.

So the only solution is to pay more for committing to the service. That’s not a solution, it’s a slap in the face in the form of a price gouge.

Last year I paid for the year, I'm in south Africa, now I can only pay monthly, now my year is up, why is this. I don't want to pay monthly iv checked no option for yearly. How do u just change something without notifying a person. You just start taking off monthly again

In the UK you can't get an annual plan, but you can buy and Amazon gift card which buys 12 months. You can then redeem it on Spotify and it adds 12 months from when your next monthly payment becomes due. I don't know if this is available in other countries.

I've been a loyal premium annual plan user for nearly a decade. In a market full of alternatives, removing the annual subscription option from the premium plan is a real deal-breaker. I'm now seriously considering switching to another music app for this reason. Disappointing.

i used to pay for my premium individual plan annually, too. i stopped for a few months, and now i want to go back to paying annually. how come it's no longer available in my options? from the Philippines here.

I understand why you'd prefer paying annually, so lets get to the bottom of this.

I checked from my end and the yearly option for Premium individual in the Philippines is available. You can try opening this link to see how it goes.

However, if you have an active monthly subscription, we suggest that you cancel it and wait until your account is reverted to free so you can make the anual payment. Keep in mind a recurring subscription isn't compatible with a pre-paid yearly payment.

I'm registered to Indonesia. Just moved here. Had the availability to pay for 1 year at the start so it's not about region. It is available. I chose 1 month since it was all I could afford at the time. I now want to change and pay for the annual plan but it isn't available. So I've cancelled my premium plan and won't renew unless I find how to go annual.

Hey, is there any update on this? From Malaysia and there is no option for annual payment anymore. Has it been taken out? Because, I have been paying for annual. Why is there no transparency on this? At lease clearly note that it is unavailable so that we as consumers can do our own research and make the best decision for us. We might stay with you, but the lack of clarity on the change is subscription offerings is shady.
