&lt;P class=""&gt;I was Premium Student user from India and I’m hoping someone from the Spotify team or community can help clarify my situation.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class=""&gt;I was on the&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;legacy discounted Student plan&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;(₹59/₹69 per month) and had&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;already verified my student status before the new ₹99 Student price came in&lt;/STRONG&gt;, so I expected to stay on the old rate as long as I kept my subscription active.&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;spotify&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;+3&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;​&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class=""&gt;Recently, my&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;autopay failed due to a bank-side issue&lt;/STRONG&gt;, and my account was&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;automatically reverted to Free&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;after the failed payment and multiple retries. I did&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;not manually cancel&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;my subscription at any point. When I tried to resubscribe, the only Student option I see is&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;₹99/month&lt;/STRONG&gt;, and support has told me that my&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;legacy pricing is now permanently lost&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;because my account reverted to Free.&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;A class="" href="https://support.spotify.com/in-en/article/failed-payment/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;spotify&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;​&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class=""&gt;Support agents (Polkam Mansi, Omi, Joseph, Hayase, and Krzysztof) were very kind and offered temporary Premium time / price adjustments as a gesture, but they all said there is&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;no way to restore my old legacy Student price&lt;/STRONG&gt;, even though:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P class=""&gt;My&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;student verification was done before the cutoff date&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;for the new pricing.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;LI&gt;
&lt;P class=""&gt;The&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;payment failure was caused by a technical issue&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;and not by me cancelling.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P class=""&gt;I&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;never chose to leave&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;the legacy plan, I just couldn’t re‑enable autopay without being forced into ₹99.&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P class=""&gt;From what I understand, legacy/older plans usually can’t be reactivated once canceled or reverted, but in my case it feels like a technical/banking issue pushed me off the plan, rather than a deliberate choice.&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;spotify&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;&lt;SPAN class=""&gt;+1&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;​&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P class=""&gt;What I’m asking for is:&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P class=""&gt;Is there&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;any way at all&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;to have my&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;legacy Student pricing reinstated&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;on this same account, given that I was verified and on the plan before the price change?&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P class="p1"&gt;If you’re on a plan that’s no longer available for purchase and your subscription ends because of a cancellation &lt;SPAN class="s1"&gt;or a failed payment&lt;/SPAN&gt; (even if it’s caused by your bank), that legacy plan, unfortunately, can’t be restored. You’ll need to choose one of the currently available plans at &lt;A href="https://spotify.com/premium" target="_blank"&gt;https://spotify.com/premium&lt;/A&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
