Hey @Johawkins86,

Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the Spotify Community!

We just wanted to clarify that some podcasts include paid promotions so it's expected to hear some ads when listening to them, but he should not get ads when playing music and if that's the case, then we'd recommend checking the steps below.

It sounds like your husband might have an additional account, which is on the free service and that he's logged in it instead of the Premium Duo member account he has if he still gets ads.

To begin with, we'd recommend he logs out of the current account he's in and then try again with different email addresses he might've used to sign up to potentially find the account in question:

Enter any email addresses he uses into our password reset form. If there's an account associated with it, he should get an email in his inbox.
Tip: he can look for an email with the subject “Reset your password” and then follow the steps to recover the account.

Check the email inboxes, including any spam or junk folders, for emails from Spotify. If there are any, it’s likely there’s an account associated with that email address.

If he isn't sure of the account's password, he can try resetting the account’s password, then use that email address and the new password to log in.

Another important thing to keep in mind is that you can also sign up for Spotify using a phone number, Apple, Google, or Facebook. Try logging in to the account page with these options instead of an email address as well.

Something that you can check on your Family page is what his account's display name is and compare it to the account he's currently logged in or manages to find to see if that's the correct one.

Hope this helps.

Hi there @Jbaker1331

Thanks for reaching out. Yes, as a Premium subscription, Duo has no ads. In order for your member to benefit from this, you need to invite them to the plan. Did you do this? If not, invite them and they will enjoy all Premium features. If you did invite the member, they joined successfully but they still get ads, they might be logged into the wrong account, tell them to double check that.

Hope this clears things up.

I purchased the duo premium and my husband is still having problems with the ads. We’ve redownloaded the app, sent through text and email just in case and he still has ads. What should be our next step 😩
