Hi there,

Sorry you’re dealing with this, that’s frustrating. A couple things might have happened here:

If the account was actually reset or a new account was created (even with a similar username/email), the old playlists won’t automatically carry over. Spotify accounts are tied to a unique account ID behind the scenes.

It’s also possible you’re logged into a different account than the one that originally had the playlists (this happens a lot if there are multiple emails or login methods like Google/Apple).

A few things I’d try:

Log out and back in, making sure you’re using the exact same login method your daughter used before (email vs Google vs Apple).

Search for one of the old playlist names. If they were public, they might still exist and you can re-save them.

Check email inboxes for any Spotify account confirmation emails to verify which account was originally used.

If nothing shows up, reach out to Spotify Support directly. They can sometimes help locate the correct account or restore access if it’s a login mix-up.

Hopefully it’s just an account mismatch and not permanently lost. Let us know if you find anything!

My daughter was inactive in our premium account for a quite while. She logged back in and I believe she reset our account. I resubscribed using the same username but can not see me previous playlists and downloads. I am looking for suggestions on how to retrieve these.lists.

Any thoughts and thank you for your help
