My Question or Issue

I am currently paying for Premium Duo, but as neither of us use Audiobooks I want to downgrade to Basic Duo. Both of the Premium Duo users were previously Premium Individual subscribers - why can I not see Basic Duo as a subscription option?

You can check to see if you’re eligible for the Basic Duo plan by:

Log into spotify.com/account.
Under Manage your plan, click Change plan.
Choose the Basic plan.

If you don’t see Basic as an available plan in your account, you’re currently not eligible. I don’t have any further information on criteria available to be eligible for this plan. Also, keep in mind that Basic plans aren’t available for Premium Student and Duo/Family plan members. There’s more info on how Basic plans work and what’s included here.

Sorry for the late reply, I just saw your response. I am "keeping in mind that Basic plans aren’t available for Premium Student and Duo/Family plan members", but would ask how I might become eligible. They exist for a reason, and I don't use audiobooks, so how can I change my subscription?

Thanks for the reply! You can manage/change your plan by following the steps I provided in my last reply:

Log into spotify.com/account.
Under Manage your plan, click Change plan.

As I also mentioned, there are factors included to see how you're eligible for the Basic plan. I don't have further information on these factors so if you don't see Basic as an option, it means you're currently not eligible. You may be eligible in the future but that's all the info I can provide at the moment.
