I always bought yearly subscription plans on Spotify. In one month, my plan will be ended. I am trying to buy yearly plan but I couldn't find the yearly plan. I am located in Turkey. Is there anyone who knows something about this topic and can help me?

I experienced the same issue in June, and I have been paying the monthly option ever since. It was more convenient for me to purchase Premium all at once, but paying monthly with the previous prices was not a big deal either. I was expecting to see the yearly option would be available again with the new price rise, unfortunately, that is not the case. I am not sure how much further I would be able to stay with a company that easily disregards the discomfort of its loyal customers like this.

My Question or Issue

Ever since I subscribe for a premium plan, I always select the annual plan because aside from lesser hassle in paying monthly, I can also save money as the annual payment is 2 months free compared to the monthly plan.

Now that there is no more option for the annual payment, I do not like the idea of letting my payment option - for example card, to be automatically deducted monthly, just so I can use the service. Plus there is no more advantage of getting a free 2-months of enjoying music.

Plus the subscription costs really jacked up from Php 129 monthly to Php 149 monthly, and to now that it is Php 169 monthly in a short period of time. Compared to annual plan, I pay only Php 1290 or Php 1490 (for the last two years) yearly.

Now Spotify has removed that hassle-free payment option and benefit. And it is such a waste. Only monthly payments are available, whatever type of subscription you prefer. It is saddening and such a hassle. Hope Spotify could reconsider putting the annual payment option again.

In Philippines, annual subscription makes more sense due to the rampant fraudelent/unauthorized transactions happening in the country. Not sure about others but I for one block my card and only unblock it if I'm gonna use it for payment. To have a monthly payment subscription means unblocking/blocking my card everytime the subscription is renewed which is troublesome and was also the reason I dropped netflix due to the lack of annual subscription offering. I can't really understand why you would not offer it since it locks us for 1 year and you already get the payment for the whole year, compared to monthly where people might not even renew or skip months not renewing.
Was already frustrated payments can't be made through apple and now this, you're removing our convenience. So will not be renewing for now until annual comes back.

We badly needed that Spotify annual premium subscription back. It's less hassle, and it's a one-time payment good for one year. I just don't understand why Spotify decided to remove this option. In the Philippines, a monthly subscription is too expensive, and I'd much rather pay less with a yearly plan than spend more over time with monthly billing.

I hope Spotify will consider returning that annual subscription, or else I might switch to YouTube Premium (which comes with YouTube Music) which may cost me a few pesos but will get me rid of ads when watching videos.

Spotify, please bring back the annual subscription!
