Hey,

I just read on Nu.nl that Spotify also offers student dicount for Dutch students. However, I can't find the option in my account to switch to the discounted version. Any tips?

No need to create a new account. Just head over at spotify.com/student and re-enter your payment details 🙂

Your account will switch over to the discounted price on the next billing date.

Is there any way to change to the student discount without having to use a credit card? I now pay my premium through iDeal and I don't have a credit card, but it says that's the only payment option...

Spotify has posted this article here and it says that it will show all of the available payment methods when it asks for a payment:

Payment methods vary by country and some payment methods might not be available with all subscription types (family, student, etc).

Since the student discount just launched in more countries, it could be that credit card is the only option right now for those countries and could expand to more options in the future. There have been other users posting here that the only option it gives them is credit card. So I'm not really sure there is not much information on this yet. It's still very new.

Now I have the next problem: SheerID needs to verify my student status, but it doesn't redirect me to their page.. What now?

Can you try signing up using a different browser or an incognito window? Please also make sure pop-ups are enabled. Clearing your internet browsing history would greatly help, too.
