Can't update payment info

Hello there! I'm trying to update my payment method (change from one credit card to another) but instantly get this error: "Spotify isn't available in your country yet. Change your location or choose a different payment method".

My current credit card is Slovak, but I want to switch to a Canadian credit card. I also tried to change a country in the settings menu, but I do not get any options other than "Slovakia".

That error message doesn't make any sense to me since all of my friends are freely using Spotify in Canada.

Please help! 🙂

Apologies for the late reply, but maybe I can still help 🙂

Please try clearing your browser's cache and cookies or use an incognito window.

In case you get the same results, you can cancel the current subscription, wait until the account goes back to Free, update the country, and then resubscribe.

When your account gets downgraded to Spotify Free, no saved songs etc. will get deleted.
