Renewing membership

Hey guys,

I'm currently living in Vietnam but am from the UK.

I cancelled my subscription due to being convinced of trying apple music but after 5minutes I quickly remembered apple music is sh*t and that's why I moved to Spotify in the first place..

So I've logged back in to renew my subscription and Spotify app said i had to change my location. I signed in to the website, changed my location to Vietnam. Logged in however now I'm trying to buy my membership with my UK card (still used and I don't have a vietnamese card) but the app won't allow it.

Please help so i dont have to endure extremely long journeys with no music . I shouldve brought a Walkman.

The country setting in your account settings needs to match the country on your card, I'm afraid! You may be able to buy pre-paid Spotify Gift-cards from stores 🙂

Otherwise, you may need to stay as Spotify Free until you rather:

Get a Vietnamese credit/debit card, or
Return to the UK
