On windows desktop, when I disable the "Show the now-playing panel on click of play", it doesn't stay disabled, and it never syncs the preferences to other devices. I really do NOT like that panel eating up so much screen real estate, I do NOT want to see it enabled by default. This is just bad UI design, do NOT force this choice on your users - give them an option to opt in!
