Local files not working anymore (windows/iOS)

Hello,

For a while now I'm not able anymore to sync my local files in the Windows app to my iPhone. For some reason the local files do appear in my 'local' playlist in the Windows app, but they remain grey unplayable tracks in the app on my iPhone.

And yes I checked and tried pretty much everything to solve this, including uninstall, checking if the wifi network is the same on both devices, if the local files are synced from the correct map etcetera.

This is the first time in a long time I tried to sync some local files. Meanwhile I upgraded from Windows 10 to 11.

Is there any solution I haven't thought about yet? Or is this a well-known problem right now?

Howdy.

Tether your PC to your phone.

You'll find loads of articles online about how to do it. (Just search for "how to tether with iphone").

While your pc and phone are tethered:

Start up spotify on your pc, start up spotify on your phone.

The local tracks will download to your phone. It's a bit of a faff, I know, but it does work.
