topic New “Currently Playing” Page UI Change in App & Features

Update came out for iOS (and Android) for the current song playing UI. I really hope they undo this, as they’ve made the cover art smaller with rounded corners, the + button much larger, and the background color no longer covers the entire screen, as the page is now more of a pull down tab. The playlist name is also no longer centered and is now on the top left, which looks much more visually unbalanced. They’re trying way too hard to copy Apple Music’s UI and it looks terrible. I hope they revert to what they had before because it was more unique and this new change makes me want to not use the app for the time being.

Hi, @TurboSlowDown I hope you're doing well, I'm sorry to read this, but at least I get used to the constant changing of things, not only on Spotify but in every other aspect of life, you know what people say "the only constant is the change" right?

And nowadays everything changes faster than ever, so maybe they change this for a new thing really soon, better? worst? Depends on us, might like us or might not but I prefer to focus on the good things and not think much about what things used to look like.

Just my point of view, at the end of the day, I love the platform and I'm not interested in trying another.

Have a great week. Cheers!!!

This is a very depressing mindset. If I’m paying a monthly subscription to an app providing a service, I want it to look visually pleasing when I use it, rather than rolling over and “focusing on the good things and not think much about what things used to look like.” It looked better before and I’m using this message board to complain in hopes others agree and that they fix it. That’s fine to hear for you that you’re used to the “constant changing of things,” but I think that’s incredibly stupid not to give developers feedback on their ugly changes instead of glazing them. Hope this helps!

I liked the rounded corners. They just took it away from me and I want it back
