topic TOP TIP for controlling Spotify via Remote Desktop Session (when working from home) in App & Features

OK having worked from home for many years logging into my work place using a Remote Desktop Session I found that this session took over my 3 monitors and my media keys, so when Spotify (desktop) is open on my local pc (at home) I'd have to keep minimising my remote session to control Spotify.

Two solutions I've found helpful:-

Use the web player - the mini player that pops out will stay on top of all windows (including my RDP session) and I can control music (I hope Spotify add this to their Desktop App in the near future). However I like crossfade and also streaming at the highest quality available (hopefully HiFi soon!?).

I installed Spotify Desktop on my Remote Session however I don't stream from there, I still start streaming on my local PC first but use the RDP Spotify to control the music (hence not taking up my employees bandwidth). This also allows the media keys to work when I'm in the RDP session.

I'm sure this won't help many people out there but I struggled for a while so hopefully helps somebody (with working from home being part of many peoples lives permanently going forward).
