daily playlist issue

The daily playlists were great for the last several years. I could count on them to be consistent within each one. The order of which genre would be which playlist changed based on what I listened to the day before, but I had a handful of really different playlists that did not ever seem to have music that did not belong on that playlist.

That changed in the last few months. They have gone straight to trash. Genres mixing really badly, doing things like dropping The Lonely Island in a playlist dominated by Eminem and Dr Dre. I *like* the lonely island, but not when I want to listen to rap.

Is there a way to figure out where the changes happened and undo them? Will hiding tracks on those playlists correct the algorithm? It's not that I don't like the artists they pick, I do, I just don't want weird Al to pop up in a playlist dominated by 80s rock. It's happened, and until recently it never would have.
